This position requires familiarity with the terminology of the office unit. The General Clerk selects appropriate methods from a wide variety of procedures or makes simple adaptations and interpretations of a limited number of substantive guides and manuals. The clerical steps often vary in type or sequence, depending on the task. Recognized problems are referred to others.
Performs a variety of office support and/or administrative duties for a specific unit/department in the Air National Guard Wing Recruiting and Retention program, such as composing and word processing a variety of standard documents and correspondence, relaying and resolving routine telephone and/or walk-up inquiries, scheduling, calendar items and meetings, processing forms, performing data entry and establishing and maintaining records.
Minimum Qualifications: Must have High School Diploma or GED, excellent verbal and written communication skills, and knowledge and experience of Air National Guard Recruiting and Retention program. Provide Administrative support to the office staff to include greeting and assisting visitors, handling phone calls and inquiries, scheduling and maintaining calendars, screening and analyzing responses to incoming correspondence.
